If you are racing as a Lady or Junior in 2012 and you want to attend the National Championships later in the year please try to remember to tick the relevant box on the licence application form, this will ensure that you are sent an Application Form for the Ladies & Juniors National Championships 2012 event. Many thanks to all that turned up at the club agm last night, it was a great turn out and some 0f you had travelled a long way, it is appreciated so thanks very much.

Our next get together will be the League AGM which is due to be held at the Raven Hotel on Friday January 20th, if you care about how your league is run it is important to have members from both the North Shropshire Club and the Shropshire & Telford Club, that way the league is equally represented from both clubs. Please attend if you can, Many Thanks.

The Drivers Night will be held in February, this is the night when the Fixture Books are available for collection. The date of this will be announced shortly.

The Club AGM is on Friday 9th December, as usual the meeting is due to be held at The Raven Hotel, Prees Heath, Nr Whitchurch, Shropshire.

This meeting is open to everyone, if you are a licence holder you are entitled to vote for the 2012 committee members and cast votes on anyother matters brought up on the evening.

The Club AGM  is also your first opportunity to get your hands on those all important 2012 rule books and licence application forms

Well done to all drivers who competed at the National Championships this year.

Special Congratulations to Martin Gould NS334 who won Class 3 again and also to his sons; Ben Gould NS434 who got 2nd place in Class 6 & Sam Gould NS343 who got 3rd place in Class 9!…. surely this is some kind of family record to have 3 members of the same family in 3 different classes gaining a place in the top 3 places? All I can say is “Top Job”.

Congratulations also goes to Liam Evans NS120 who got 2nd place in Class 10.

North Shropshire autograss car clubs next meeting at Hinton Hall is this coming Sunday (July 10th).

This meeting is being held in honour of the late Cary Evans who was fatally injured in the early hours of New Years Day.

Cary started his racing career in the juniors and worked his way up the ladder to become one of the top drivers in class 2, a class that in today’s racing is one of the most contested classes to be in.

His Dayglow Dyno Rod car was to be seen at all the big meetings; being runner up in the 2009 British Autograss Series Championship it would be a fitting tribute to Cary to have as many Class 2 drivers from all over the country join us for this meeting.

Every driver and official that attends the meeting will be given a boxed medal as a memento of Cary.

All ten classes including Ladies, Junior Saloons, Junior Specials and the 1200 specials (mums or dads in a junior special) have been sponsored by the North Shropshire members we have some special trophies for this meeting.

Everyone is Welcome.

Make sure you turn up nice and early for scrutineering as Racing will start at 11.30am. The field will be open from 2pm on the Saturday afternoon.
