Our next get together will be the League AGM which is due to be held at the Raven Hotel on Friday January 20th, if you care about how your league is run it is important to have members from both the North Shropshire Club and the Shropshire & Telford Club, that way the league is equally represented from both clubs. Scrutineering was done in the pouring rain and the day looked like it could be a disaster, however, the rain stopped, the wind picked up and even the Sun came out! We delayed starting for a short while to let the track dry out abit and then racing got underway.

We avoided using grids 1 & 2 and the day went very well, no major incidents to report, the ambulance was only in attendance for Ernie’s trip into the Armco with SR84 in the final open races of the day, Ernie, Ernie…. fortunately, he walked away to be able to race another day ~ Question: do they make race overalls with air bags fitted?

There was a good turnout of away drivers which made for some close racing with our regular club and league racers, we hope you enjoyed your day and you are very welcome back anytime!

There was plenty of racing to go round, with lots of open races at the end of the meeting and we had a nicely timed finish.

So thats it, the last meeting of the 2011 season is over.

Many thanks to everyone that has helped out this year and thanks to all drivers who have continued to support the North Shropshire Race Meeting’s, without the helpers it’s hard, but without the driver’s it’s even harder! without you there is no racing, so thanks again for turning up!

Special Congratulations to Martin Gould NS334 who won Class 3 again and also to his sons; Ben Gould NS434 who got 2nd place in Class 6 & Sam Gould NS343 who got 3rd place in Class 9!…. surely this is some kind of family record to have 3 members of the same family in 3 different classes gaining a place in the top 3 places? All I can say is “Top Job”.

Congratulations also goes to Liam Evans NS120 who got 2nd place in Class 10.
